Upcoming Events at Colonial Williamsburg
WILLIAMSBURG – The fall equinox of September 22 may have officially marked the end of summer, but it’s also the start of a season full of many festivities around the Historic Triangle. Here’s a look at the upcoming events and attractions at Colonial Williamsburg:
Shoot with a flintlock musket:
Visitors to Colonial Williamsburg can test their shooting with two different 18th century replica firearms. Guests wishing to participate in this event must be 14 years of age or older. Children under 14-17 must be accompanied by a legally responsible adult. Colonial Williamsburg will host this all day event on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
This event begins at the Williamsburg Lodge.
Craft time in art museums:
After exploring the art galleries, visitors to Colonial Williamsburg Art Museums can come to the Educational Studio anytime between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to create a work of art inspired by an object from the ‘exposure. Colonial Williamsburg Art Museums are open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Golden Horseshoe Golf Clinic:
Resort guests can attend a 30 minutes golf clinic at Golden Horseshoe Golf Club. Tuesday and Friday from 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Colonial Williamsburg has already started its Haunted Williamsburg Tour which offers visitors exclusive access to historic outdoor spaces. The tour includes costumes storytellers who share their haunted stories. The tour is a 1-hour candlelight walking tour that takes the public through a variety of Colonial Williamsburg’s most haunted sites. The tour starts at the Play House Stage on Palace Green and suitable for ages 8 and up.
The actor’s complaint:
The Actor’s Lament is a brand new play directed by Colonial Williamsburg. The play takes place outdoors and revolves around a fledgling theater group as it arrives to open for the season.
The game runs every Thursday and Saturday until November 6.
Williamsburg Farmers Market:
Williamsburg Farmers Market takes place every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The farmer’s market features over 40 vendors offering a variety of local produce including fresh produce, meat, seafood, baked goods, honey, cheese, cut flowers, handmade soaps , etc.
The Williamsburg Farmers Market has live music from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Williamsburg Farmers Market accepts cash, credit cards, SNAP, and W&M Express. A free parking is available. As a precaution, masks are mandatory to enter the market.
